Welcome! My name is Sara Shore and I am a trained spiritual director and lifelong resident of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. I am enthusiastic about accompanying individuals in exploring their sense of self, spirituality, and connection to the divine in whatever form that may take. I was first introduced to spiritual direction in retreat settings and have been humbled to continue walking on my own path toward spiritual connectedness.

I might describe myself as a grateful ex-vangelical, a reluctant pilgrim, or a loyal skeptic; but mostly I am honored to witness the stories that unfold around us, and aim to be a soft place to land for you to learn your own story. I don’t identify with any particular faith or denomination but I have been unable to shake off “the dark net threading through us” and am driven to follow the path and see what unwinds. I’d love to hear your story, your sense of what has formed you, and help honor and amplify that which is most sacred to you.

I am a licensed social worker and have experience in medical social work, mental health, addiction, and healthcare. I have Masters and Bachelors’ degrees in social work as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical Studies. I received my Spiritual Direction training from Cranaleith Spiritual Center, a formation program that is rooted in a strong belief that proximity to social justice and those made marginalized is where the spark of the divine is ignited.

I live in South Jersey with my husband and two chubby kittens. I enjoy experimenting in veganizing Italian recipes, novice quilting, and watching Survivor.
